January 19, Kathmandu. Former champions Liverpool beat West Ham 3-1 in the Premier League with the help of two goals from Mohamed Salah. After a comfortable victory, Liverpool has risen to the third place in the table of points.
Salah scored twice to give Liverpool the win at West Ham, while Giorgione Vijnaldum scored once. West Ham's Craig Dawson returned a goal.
Salah scored in the 57th minute of the first half to give Liverpool the lead.
Salah scored his second individual goal in the 68th minute to give Liverpool a 2-0 lead. Vijnaldum scored in the 84th minute to give Liverpool a 3-0 lead. Dawson of West Ham scored a consolation goal in the 87th minute.
With 40 points from 21 games, Liverpool have climbed to third place behind Leicester City. West Ham are still in fifth place with 35 points.
Leicester City lost their second-place finish after losing to Leeds United. Leicester is in fourth place with 39 points from 21 matches.
Similarly, two London clubs Chelsea and Tottenham have also won. Tottenham beat Brighton 1-0 and Chelsea beat Burnley 2-0.
Tottenham have 33 points from 20 games, while Chelsea have 33 points from 21 games. Tottenham are sixth in the standings and Chelsea are seventh.
